The cycle counter described elsewhere on this website required a functional tester to ensure quality in the assembly process.
Design Goals:
- Simulate PLC logic by driving 30V input signals on two ports
- Control the frequency and duty cycle on each output
- Detect failure conditions on the unit under test
The finished tester is shown above.
The IO board is plugged into the card at the lower left.
A prototype functional tester was created below to test ideas related to the final design.
